too much sun!!

the weather here has been outrageous - 80's, sunny, no bugs. i've had this great job the last 3 weeks working for a friend of mine at one of the biggest (and only pesticide free) greenhouses in town. it's 8 hrs a day of hard physical labor - everything from making dirt, transplanting trees, delivering huge flower baskets... the best part is that people actually say thank you for your work (something i really missed in grad school). but alas, think i'm starting a new job at the university this week, but still hiring bureacracy to be worked out so stay tuned.
got in a long road ride today - 52 miles from the u to the top of cleary summit and back. i'm trying to train for the sourdough triathlon in july - it's here in fairbanks but a long one, a half-ironman (1 mi swim, 56 mi bike, 13 mi run). so that's what i'm up to... puppy training and julie training... there's no time left for a new job!

kath - check out http://www.timremickphotography.com/galleries/ep1.html for the photo i think you're thinking of. (but he won a big award for this image so it's probably more expensive than others)
mro - what are you doing reading my blog? get on your own - where are pics of sunny vancouver?
dea and stac - i worked on my poptart attack today, best be ready for it next time we ride together... Posted by Picasa
