sending a big hug out to all the marnie fans out there.
she taught me to live life with my eyes wide open, and with a big smile. but simple as that is, most days i still just end up with a long list of excuses why i haven't. so i'm hoping this anniversary is a catylst to wake up and try harder, and a remindar to have even half as much fun as she always did.
love you guys, jules

Quote of the day...
on the radio this morning, from a musher in the yukon quest race - he's referring to the extreme cold right now (50 below on the rivers where a lot of the racers are right now) -
'well this confirms that we dog mushers are not normal. but then again I don't know many Alaskans that are'
damn cold here again, but at least daylight has returned - it was light on my way to and from work last week. a photo from skijoring on the river with the gang this weeekend...

ferry trail
The thing about Fairbanks is the mountains are so close - only 2 hours, but so far away - why is it always so hard to get out of town? Well the girls and the dogs finally broke the barrier and headed down to the mountains for a day this weekend. The trail we wanted to explore was a bust - not enough snow (it's all been blown away) and it turned out to be a trapline anyways so not a good place with all our dogs. Still, we had a great day - incredibly sunny and denali was out...

River ski/bike
Sunglasses have returned, feels like spring here. love it!!
Dea skijoring with Caz. Skijoring with Caz can either be 1. a total blast - when she wants to run she's so incredibly fast and strong, or 2. the most frustrating thing in the world - when she's just being a punk ass puppy all she does is bark and bite your skitips...
scenic photo of ben skiing off into exhaust left from all the snowmachines...
dea and caz chasing me, but i wasn't much faster on my bike. note the new pick helmet, thanks mom!
the joys of skijoring with a 10 mo. puppy...

Stac, Tim, and I went to see the Michael Franti documentary last night. An incredible film, unique and powerful perspective on Iraq and Middle East issues - it's on tour now, a must see if it shows near you.
